The Missing Piece

When I get asked “Lauren, do I really need a brand strategy? Or can I just launch my website and start selling?”

My answer:

You positively, absolutely, without a doubt need a brand strategy.

Especially if the following three statements ring true for you:

1. “I want to have a premium price point that reflects my expertise and experience.”

You’ve trained, poured your heart over hours of study, read all the books, done all the sessions, worked in the industry for years. You’re at the peak of your game and you want your price tag to match. When you’re confident in your positioning, have a compelling identity and your crystal clear about what you’re doing and why it matters, you’ll showing your audience you have it together, that they can trust you, that you’re a sure bet and worth every penny.

2. “I want to attract meaningful, aligned and great clients, I’m done just saying ‘yes’ all the time and not enjoying the work.”

Maybe you’ve pivoted your offer, business model or venturing into something completely new – those early days are about money in the bank, covering your costs and getting clients under your belt. We’ve all been there. We end up saying yes to things that don’t align, that we don’t enjoy and that don’t play to our strengths. Whilst I think this is a valuable part of the process (physically and emotionally sitting in misalignment is a very helpful lesson), we can change this.

When you get clear and intentional about what you want, what you’re great at and who you work best with- you design your business around that. You will get back what you put out, so the right clients will see themselves in your business and be drawn to you. Equally it will work as a repellent to those you don’t wish to work with – and that’s what you want! You are not for everyone and that’s perfectly fine. It’s time to get clear and intentional and get you out of the ‘yes’ game.

3. “I want to have a business I’m proud of, that makes a difference, that stands for me and my vision of the world.”

ALL, that is genuinely ALL, of my female founder clients venture into business to make change, to stand for something, to support a cause or meet a need that saw that wasn’t being served. And I admire every one of them – from disrupting home financing for females, to supporting female tradespeople, to coaching female entrepreneurs, hosting retreats for female leaders, creating products from honey whilst training justice-impacted individuals, to creating software that stops cyber bullying, to creating community service hubs in underserved areas, to supporting creative arts projects for youths, to DEI consulting for corporate leadership, to helping women get confident with their money… the list goes on.

When you have a brand that is truly, deeply reflective of your mission, your vision and who you are, unapologetically, then standing up and standing out can be achieved with confidence and ease. The identity does the heavy lifting of communicating what you’re about so you can concentrate on the work. The identity can resonate with your audiences so they know they’re in the right place. The identity gives you the biggest platform to stand on, to make a difference.

Bottom line:

Your brand strategy is the missing piece to the connection puzzle that you just can’t seem to solve.

Connection to your purpose, to the people to serve and to financial freedom.

You don’t need more throwing spaghetti at the wall, or half-hearted storytelling, or an apologetic voice and messaging. You need a brand strategy to get you confident and stand-out.

This is why I do what I do – to support female founders and impact leaders craft their space, identify their values, dream big visions and create an identity that brings it all together.

Their work – YOUR work – matters, it’s making a difference, and our work makes a difference to how you present it, talk about it, feel about it.

With a knock-out brand strategy, you get real results.

And that’s what I want for you.
