This October saw the launch of Elevate Cities, starting with Miami.
Elevate Miami’s “The Table” event was the inaugural, intimate dinner that saw a curated list of Miami’s change makers, creatives, decision-makers, cultural shakers, impact leaders, students, musicians, local food icons, and philanthropists come together for one goal – connection.
It was full of music, good company, good food, conversation, dancing (led by the wondrous Eduardo Placer!), and inspiration and is the start of great things to come – including grants, creative competitions, ‘Find The Good’ scavenger hunt and more. During the evening, I connected with local students who have been part of the selection process for the first round of awardees – hearing about their dreams of the future and the change they want to be part of; I spoke with a local youth group that uses music to offer local kids an alternative route in life and heard about lives turned around, graduating valedictorian of their year (having previously been kicked out); I heard stories of the pride of Haitian and Cuban cultures, peoples love of natural environment, of mentorship, of being able to start life over in Miami – a melting point of people.
It was an event that really resonated with me and felt like I was in the right place.
Which got me to join up some dots, and ask “Why was this so special?”.
Here at Boudica, one of our values is “Join Forces – Become the beacon of light to bring people together, then lead the way.” So it’s no surprise that this event felt so aligned that I was in good company.
Elevate Cities and Elevate Miami are all about ‘Joining Forces’ for a greater good, standing as that beacon of light to bring people together who are leading the way in their town. And this is just the beginning – more cities to come in 2026, going national across the US. It’s a huge vision, driven with purpose and what people truly crave – civic pride, community and doing good.
